Micro Business Champion

Tony Robinson OBE is the Micro Business Champion, a national & international promoter, speaker, broadcaster and campaigner on best practice in enterprise skills and support. He is a multiple founder and business owner for over 30 years. His tour with ‘Let’s Get Enterprising: The Micro Myths and Magic’ Conference Talk suggests a better way than the ‘American Way’ to start and grow an enterprise.

Tony is the co-founder, with Tina Boden, of the Enterprise Rockers CIC, #MicroBizMatters movement and the annual #MicroBizMatters Day. Millions participate online and offline on this day of recognition, action and learning, including 8 hours live streaming.

Tony has served on many Government committees and forums and holds many voluntary leadership positions for national and regional social enterprises which promote and support entrepreneurs. In 1996 he founded, and remains co-owner of, the SFEDI Group – the Sector Skills Body (includes the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs) for Enterprise.

Tony is Co-Chair of the regional enterprise agency, Yorkshire in Business, Patron of the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank and curator of The Small Is Beautiful Roll Of Honour. He leads the #PayIn30Days campaign.

Tony was honoured in 2001 with an OBE for services to small firms and training and is the recipient of two lifetime achievement awards for enterprise. He is the author of seven books – fiction, satire and business. Tony has been awarded the National Enterprise Network’s  Enterprise Support Champion 2019.
