The great summer staycation – Nutcessity

From traditional pies in Barnstaple to vegan burgers in Brighton, from cycle tours around Edinburgh to kayaking in Wales, there are countless ways to enjoy a great staycation this summer.

With so many Brits opting for a staycation instead of a trip abroad this year, a few weeks ago we teamed up with our partners Starling Bank to highlight some of the businesses in our community that can’t wait to welcome you on your travels.

Thinking outside the box, we also looked a bit further afield for great ways to enjoy a staycation, from charity challenges to local produce services to make the most of your trip.

Let’s face it, going on holiday at home in the UK is far from a guarantee of nice weather. If it’s too bad to go out, you may want to turn your hand to baking. Nutcessity is a brilliant ingredient to base your bakes around and try something new.

Nutcessity exists to make trust-seeking food enthusiasts smile. It makes vegan, organic tree nut butters to distinctive, wholesome recipes, in a peanut-free site.

“I tend to use my nut butters in energy balls, flapjacks, smoothies or whipped up with maple syrup for a cake topping,” Nutcessity founder, Mike Duckworth.
