Steven Bartlett mentors 16-Year old entrepreneur Jenk Oz; Vodafone’s Shout Out for Small Business competition

16-year-old Jenk Oz, Founder & CEO of Thred Media is the most recent winner of Vodafone’s Shout Out for Small Business competition, allowing him to have a one on one mentoring session from the entrepreneurial star, Steven Bartlett. Steven Bartlett rose to stardom in the entrepreneurial world after setting up Europe’s fastest-growing social media agency –  Social Chain. Since then he has become the youngest investor on Dragon’s Den and hosts one of the most popular business podcasts, The Diary of a CEO. 

With his expertise in digital media, what better person to mentor Jenk and give him some advice for his StartUp company. 

Launching last year, Vodafone’s Shout Out for Small Businesses competition recognises and celebrates the latest entrepreneurs who use their digital skills and technology to drive their small businesses forward in innovative ways within today’s challenging business environment – and this year Jenk Oz was crowned the winner. 

The mentoring session Jenk won saw Steven use his years of business expertise and experience to provide Jenk with a personal assessment of Thred Media, allowing them to identify development and growth opportunities. This will help give Thred Media the boost they need, and with Steven on his side, and Jenks already established brand, at such a young age may we add, Thred Media is bound to have a fruitful future. In addition to the mentoring session, Thred Media was also given a Facebook and Instagram social media marketing campaign boost, to help with exposure and brand awareness, as well as an in-depth digital business strategy consultation with a Vodafone V-Hub adviser.

Jenk was selected by a panel of judges including Steven Bartlett, Enterprise Nation founder Emma Jones CBE and Vodafone’s Head of Small Business, Andrew Stevens. The panel of judges were particularly impressed with the rapid scale at which Thred Media has grown under the leadership of such a young team – which helped in their decision of crowning Thred Media the competition winner.

It’s been an amazing journey so far, with Thred now acting as a full-service media, consulting and research company dedicated to helping global brands gain share of mind of this ever-evolving generation.
