Looking ahead to the #GBEA National Winners Evening

The national winners of the 2018 Great British Entrepreneur Awards will be crowned at an event in London later this month (24th January).

Having triumphed in their respective regions, our 70 winners in Scotland & Northern Ireland, The Midlands, The North, Wales & The South West and London & The South East will go head-to-head to become the national winner in each category.

In 2017, Hannah and Sophie Pycroft, founders of Spectrum Collections, won the overall prize, being crowned Great British & Northern Irish Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as national Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year, the same awards they won in their region of Wales & The South West.

As well as Sophie & Hannah, this year’s winner will join the likes of Julie Deane OBE, founder of The Cambridge Satchel Company, James Watt, founder of BrewDog, and Shaun Pulfrey, founder of Tangle Teezer, who have previously been named Great British & Northern Irish Entrepreneur of the Year.

The National Winners Evening will bring together all of our 2018 winners, judges, sponsors, partners, previous winners and ambassadors as we toast to an evening of entrepreneurial success.

Francesca James, founder of the Great British & Northern Irish Entrepreneur Awards, said: “Of course, the National Winners Evening is about finding out who our national winners are, and it’s incredibly exciting. But it’s also about celebrating all of our winners and all of the hard work and inspiring entrepreneurs in the UK, and creating a community where everyone can flourish.”

Speaking after their win in 2017, Hannah and Sophie said: “The Great British & Northern Irish Entrepreneur Awards has been one surprise after another. It’s been amazing. Every finalist should be so proud of themselves. It’s been incredible. We’re just so thankful that we get to do this together. We’re so proud to be representing Wales, and now to win the overall ‘Great British Entrepreneur of the Year’ award is a complete shock and a high-five to ourselves.”
