GBEA judge Julia Elliott Brown is no stranger to helping female entrepreneurs to secure the funding they need. In fact, it’s what she does on a daily basis through her business, Enter the Arena.
Over the years on the judging panel, we’ve seen the dedication and passion Julia has for helping fellow women in business, having been through the trials and tribulations of raising investment herself as a serial entrepreneur.
And now, she’s taking it one step further with her podcast ‘Fundraising Stories with Women Entrepreneurs’.
Nine episodes in, Julia sits down with fellow female founders to hear them share their honest stories on equity fundraising, including the highs as well as the lows. Hearing these women tell their stories is hugely inspirational and, of course, there’s plenty of advice as well.
You may recognise a few faces, as well. Julia’s first episode was with Martha Silcott, founder of Fab Little Bag, who won the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for London and the South East in 2019. And previous finalists Cecily Mills of Coconuts Naturally and Kate Briscoe of Legal Beagles have also appeared on the podcast in their own episodes.
