Fuel Ventures

Mark Pearson is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fuel Ventures, a leading technology venture capital fund which specialises in early stage and growth companies.

Mark started his entrepreneur career in 2006 when, at the age of 26, he launched the UK’s first discount website, MyVoucherCodes.co.uk. He paid £300 for the first version of the site and ran it from his bedroom until 2009, when he opened an office in Croydon. He moved the business to a central London location in 2011, where the business grew to employ more than 100 people. On 26 June 2014, Markco Media was acquired by Monitise plc for a reported £55m.

Later that year, Mark launched Fuel Ventures, offering a London-based incubation studio to its start-ups. It currently has more than 20 startups under its umbrella and delivers a 70x average return on investments in the European e-commerce sector. The investment fund recently closed a £20 million round from multiple high net-worth investors and corporate institutions, which span China, the Middle East and Europe.

Previous to starting MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, Mark trained as a professional chef under Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s.
