Luigi M. De Luca is Professor of Marketing and Innovation at Cardiff Business School, and co-founder of the Responsible Innovation Network (www.responsible-innovation.net). Luigi holds a Ph.D. in Management (with specialisation in Marketing and Innovation) from Bocconi University (Italy). Before joining Cardiff University Luigi was Lecturer in Marketing at Aston University, and visiting researcher at Hong Kong City University, and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
Luigi’s research investigates the strategic use of market knowledge for innovation and organisational performance. More recently, Luigi’s research has shifted towards the connection among big data, innovation, and social value. Luigi has conducted research in diverse industries including fashion, biotechnology, financial services and utilities, and published widely in top academic journals across marketing, innovation, management and social sciences.
Luigi teaches Entrepreneurial Marketing and Business Planning to MSc and MBA students at Cardiff Business School. His teaching portfolio also covers a range of marketing, strategy and innovation topics delivered to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral students, and executive audiences. Luigi’s frequent engagements with small and large organisations in UK, EU and Africa include collaborative research, consultancy, and knowledge exchange partnerships (KTPs).
