Like many of the entrepreneurs Lee has worked with, he has first-hand experience of starting a business on a shoestring budget. In 1999, he started a recruitment agency from a bedroom of a shared flat with no business experience or money. In three years, he rapidly grew the business to include clients such as Legal & General, Panasonic and KPMG ultimately resulting in a successful exit.
In 2002, Lee went from being a startup to helping startups. He managed two successful government entrepreneurship programmes driving engagement across Wales. In 2007, he then moved into education achieving a PGCE and Masters in Entrepreneurship. He successfully embedded enterprise learning across further and higher education while supporting thousands of young entrepreneurs to make their business ideas happen.
In 2015, Lee became CEO of technology startup Simply Do Ideas. This online platform provides assistive technology for educators and trainers to capture, test and support early-stage business ideas.
