Town Square Spaces & Welsh ICE
In 2012, Gareth founded the Innovation Centre for Enterprise (Welsh ICE) – now one of the largest coworking spaces in the country. In 2017 he exited to found Town Square Spaces, an accredited B Corp set up to replicate the model across the UK – currently North Wales, Oxfordshire and West Sussex, and with plans to grow further. Through these, and his operation of Accelerator Wales, and Startup Club he has helped to support over 1,000 businesses to thousands of jobs, generating £millions in uplift for their local economies.
He has established a strong reputation in the business community across the UK. In 2019, Gareth was invited to join the Prime Minister’s Small Business, Scale ups and Entrepreneurs Business Council, where he currently advises the Prime Minister on how to support SMEs through Brexit. He was also included in this year’s Maserati 100, identifying him as one of the top innovators and a ‘people’s champion’ for the UK.
