Frans Diels is Head of Marketing at InsurTech startup Nimbla. Born in The Netherlands, he gained a university degree in International Business & Management Studies. When he was younger, Frans learned some valuable entrepreneurial lessons first-hand from his dad, who ran a wholesale business supplying jewellers with gemstones and accessories.
After university, he started a career in marketing with his first job at a global e-commerce company that produces marketing products for small businesses. Since then, he’s worked at several startups where he worked directly with the founders on marketing strategies, from branding to customer acquisition.
Currently, Frans works at Nimbla, an ambitious startup that safeguards entrepreneurs against insolvent and late-paying customers. The opportunity to build something that protects the hard-working business owners is what motivates him, and he’s looking forward to assessing the entries of this year’s awards to celebrate those inspiring entrepreneurs.
