The Great British Entrepreneur Awards is pleased to announce that a new category is to be added to the 2020 programme.
Coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown has presented many challenges for businesses and those entrepreneurs in the driving seat. So many businesses have been forced to shutter or take a ‘pause’, but there are others that are pivoting and surviving, even thriving.
In business a pivot usually occurs when the business is required to make a fundamental change if their product or service isn’t meeting the demands of the market. During this pandemic and lockdown, many businesses are facing a time of economic uncertainty and it has forced their arm in some part to take the steps necessary to stay above water.
Our new pivot category recognises entrepreneurs who have adapted their business during the global pandemic, to ensure their company can succeed during, and thrive after, the crisis.
We’re looking for entrepreneurs and their teams that have shown incredible spirit in adapting and overcoming challenges.
The ‘Pivot Entrepreneur of the Year’ will be awarded to an individual who has pivoted their skills to meet new societal needs by examples of new products, services and even businesses that have emerged as a result of COVID-19.
Remember, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate and champions the stories of entrepreneurs. True entrepreneurs are as much about their story as they are about their balance sheet. The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the truly inspiring entrepreneurs who are the agents of positive change in our country.
